2006-P State Quarter South Dakota Satin Finish SP - U.S. Coin Prices from our Auction Archive
The State Quarter program began in 1999 and continued through 2008, where five coins a year were released, representing the 50 states in order of admittance into the Union. This program proved to be extremely popular, and a new generation of collectors was born. The District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarters program followed in 2009. In hopes of encouraging further collector interest, the America the Beautiful Quarters program was launched in 2010.
