About Alaskan Tokens:  Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation Tokens of 1935 were issued by the US government for use by those who relocated to Alaska under the Matanuska Valley Colonization Project. They were redeemable only at the ARRC stores in 1935 and 1936 and redeemable for regular money thereafter.
