How do I ship coins/paper money to GreatCollections? We recommend shipping coins/paper money through the United States Postal Service via Registered Insured Mail or Priority Insured Mail. This is the safest way to transport coins. If you have coins worth more than $25,000 to sell, please contact us for special instructions. We will contact you the day your coins/paper money arrive. Are my coins/paper money insured?Yes, from the moment your coin(s)/banknote(s) arrive at GreatCollections, they are fully insured through our extensive policy with Berkley Asset Protection. A copy of our insurance certificate is available by request. Do you charge listing fees?We charge nominal listings fees based on the minimum bid set of between $3 and $10 (detailed on our consignment form). In the unlikely event your consignment does not sell, additional listing fees are charged after five listings (on the 6th, 11th, 16th etc. listing). If you do not want your coins/notes relisted, please contact us. When can I expect payment?Checks are mailed within 30 days of your coin(s)/note(s) selling. You can view your consignor results and payment schedule online at MyGC>Consignor Statements. GreatCollections can also give you an instant cash advance of up to half of their value (for certified coins). For more information about cash advances, please call Ian Russell at 1.800.44.COINS (+1.949.679.4180) or e-mail [email protected]. About GreatCollectionsGreatCollections was founded by Ian Russell as an auction house to serve the rare coin, paper money and bullion community. Though there are many places to buy and sell coins and paper money, very few ensure that the transaction is conducted in a safe and secure manner while keeping both parties confidential.GreatCollections offers collectors an extensive selection of certified coins and paper money ranging in price from $25 up to over $100,000. All coins/banknotes have been professionally listed and imaged by GreatCollections expert staff and most are certified by the leading third-party grading companies. Since GreatCollections has possession of all items being offered for sale, GreatCollections will ship your auction winnings and purchases to you securely and promptly. Sellers consign to GreatCollections to take advantage of our low commission rates, which work out in most cases to be cheaper than if they did all the work themselves. |
